This has been a stressful time for those of us who have been following the US election. Now, more than ever, we need a simple reminder to disconnect. Take some time, even if it’s just 1 hour, to step away from phones and laptops, TVs and tablets. Remember that people used to make it just fine without being constantly connected. Give your brain some time to recharge, and do it without looking at a screen. Take a walk, read a book, or cook some food. Better yet, find a friend or family member to chat with sans phones. Remember there is more to life than checking your feeds and emails for new messages or likes. Take some time to smell the fresh air, see the changing leaves, and spend some quality time with those you love. Love is what brings us together, it is never us vs. them. On that note, I will be taking the weekend off from technology as much as possible in order to unplug and recharge. Sending love and light to all corners of the country.
